So getting this email was an amazing moment in my life. I'm such a big fan of Aaron not only of his music but the person he is. Aaron is a great Christian man! He loves his Lord, his wife Kimberly and his three children. Aaron currently resides in Abilene, Texas. Aaron grew up in Amarillo, Texas. Mr Aaron Watson has sang many hit songs such as "July in Cheyenne", "Raise your bottle" (which all the proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project)  and "That Look" which is about his wife Kimberly. His song hit #3 on the country ITunes charts by the next day!

What do I say to that? Of course it does lol I will make time for it :)

Well I had a few questions and Aaron was so gracious to answer them :)

First I asked him about his twitter headline he has on there. It says that he is a Christian Artist in a honky tonk world. I told him to explain what he means by that.

"I love country music. I grew up with it. But I'm not going to compermize my music for the venue. I'm not the one preaching in the pulpit. I use my music to be a blessing to my fans."

What got you into music?
"Well in the beginning it would have to the girls. I mean I have always love country music."

What drives your passion?
"Really the thing that drives my passion is my family. Like any dad, and a husband its about taking care of my family. If I wasn't making money on the road then this would just be a weekend thing."
I'm just saying if it was just a weekend then a lot of his fans would be very sad!

Where do you usually gather inspiration while song writing?
"I find inspiration in life. In music, with my wife, my children, songs, a sermon in church. Every where really."

What musicians do  you admire?
"Willie, Waylon, Merle, really vinyl records are the best! I also grew up singing in church and hearing country music at home. I also really admire bands like the Rolling Stones."

What is the best town to play in?
"I really don't have a favorite. Because you really never know what your going to get when you walk into a venue. One time we went a little rundown bar in Idaho. We didn't think much of it. But once the doors opened it was a different story the place was filled up and everyone knew the words to my songs."

In your music career who all have you toured with?
"Well we toured with Willie, Alan Jackson, ect and I even paid Luke Bryan to open for me back in 2009."

If You could play at any venue what place would you pick?
"Well I'm playing the Grand Ol Opry in February. But I grew up in west Texas right down the road from where Buddy Holly, Waylon Jennings, and Bob Wills grew up. Every chance I get to play is a blessing."

I love your single "That Look" so when can we expect a new album?
"Mark you calender February 17th 2015. The Album is called the Underdog it has 14 brand new songs. We have an awesome producer Keith Stegall. I'm really excited about it!"

Now the big question.

What's your opinion of the current state of mainstream country?
"As the saying goes Different strokes from different folks. Skinny jeans are not my thing. The music coming out a s country music isn't really country anymore. There is such I was listening to the radio in my truck the other day and a song Florida-Georgia Line song sun-daze. I couldn't believe how country music no longer has morals like they did when I was growing up. Like Luke Bryan is a super nice guy but I won't be listening to his music in my truck. And I'm pretty sure he isn't listening to his music in mine."

(All I wanna do today is wear my favorite shades and get stoned
Work a little less, play a little more
That's what this day is for
And all I wanna do is lace my J's and lace some Jack in my Coke
Work on my laid back, ain't nothin' wrong
With gettin' my sun daze on, gettin' my sun daze on)
Lyrics to Sun-Daze
In my opinion yuck...

Hunter Hutchinson with his experience with Aaron
"They have been better than good, Aaron is the guy I look up to for everything I do at this point. I lost my dad back in 2008 and though Aaron is a lot younger he has played a major roll in my life and influenced me beyond belief." Said Hunter.

I can't tell y'all how much this interview meant to me  I love Aaron Watson music so much.
