Are you currently touring? If so with who?

"I wouldn't say that we are on a "tour" at the moment but, we are playing regularly all over the state of Texas along with the occasional trips to New Mexico and Louisiana.  We will start our 1st tour of 2015 in January That will be tied into an upcoming four part studio series that is to be released throughout 2015."

Who all have you toured with?

"I have done multiple tours with a good friend of mine Joe Teichman and I was a part of  Callahan Divide's "The Hammer Tour""

When and why did you start playing?

"Well, like I mentioned earlier I'm a nerd and back when I was a nerd it wasn't cool like today. My nerdiness coupled with my poor athletic ability landed me somewhere in the middle of the social hierarchy of my high-school....this resulted in me not having a girlfriend. I went to a wedding when I was about fifteen and saw a guitarist playing throughout the ceremony. Afterwards all the bridesmaids were talking to him and giggling..So I was like "I'm pretty sure this is a sign". It was much harder to play guitar than I originally anticipated. However, I was determined to find a girlfriend so I continued to practice. After a while I got better at playing and started making up funny songs about my family members and friends. I had always loved music but once I learned to play music my love for it grew exponentially and I realized very quickly that I could live without a girlfriend but, i couldn't live without music."

Which instruments do you play?

"I can play the acoustic and the electric guitar. I'm more of a rhythm player but, I can play a little lead as well. I also play bass guitar currently with my band. As time goes on I hope to add more instruments to this list."

What drives your passion?

"The desire not to fail."

Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

"Mostly from past experiences or the emotions that I felt or am currently feeling because of that said experience. I love melody and I catch myself humming different melodies throughout the day until one sticks. Then I'll pair that melody with an Idea I had for a song and build it from there. "

What was the first songs you learned?

""I Want To Grow Old With You' By Adam Sandler"

Is your family musical?

"Some members of my family are very musically inclined but, i'm the only one in my immediate family that plays music for living."

Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?

"Merle Haggard is my favorite. I love his vocal melodies and the lyrical content of his songs."

What are your fondest musical memories?

"The beginning of my career because I was very green and understood very little but, I was very hungry to make something of myself..I's my favorite memory because when I think back it reminds to stay hungry and keep pushing towards the goal."

Were you influenced by old records & tapes?

"Honestly, I never really listened to old records or tapes but, there are a ton of great songs that I have been influenced by that I'm sure was on one of those records or tapes."

Who are your favorite musicians?

"Joe Teichman and Colton Fox because they're my "musical bros" and I really enjoy listening to their songs. They both have a great sense of melody and boat load of great tunes."

What is a typical week like for you?

"Hmmmm..Monday through Thursday I'm usually helping my family out at our Feed Store while also booking shows and making phone calls for various other things to keep me and the band busy. I also try to set aside some time to write and sleep. The weekends are always crazy..new places, new faces, and new memories."

What's the funniest thing that's happened on the road?

"Every night on the road is filled with funny/crazy stories. it's hard to just recall one."

Best place to eat while on the road?

"Whataburger."
(Well I hope so! Everyone loves whataburger! And you don't your not a friend of mine.)

What's the best town play in?

"Fort Worth."

Since everyone was a startup once, can you give any smaller or local bands looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

"Stay Positive and let nothing stand in your way. Be creative and make your self present among the industry professionals. Most importantly, have a plan and stick to the plan."

Thank you TC!
