Can You Remember the Song that Made You Love Music?

Thursday, January 19, 2017

Do you know what that song was for you? I know what mine is and all of y'all are going to laugh. It's Bob Wills' Big Balls in Cowtown. You are probably like "How did that song get you into music?" Well back in the day my mom and I lived with a roommate and well she locked us out of the house. I can remember the day like it was yesterday, Mom took out her little tape player that was powered by batteries we had a few tapes such as the Dixie Chicks, George Strait and of course Bob Wills.

Mom popped in the tape and we set in the front yard waiting for the roommate. I remember dancing around like a full listening to Bob Wills Greatest hits. But for some reason Big Balls in Cowtown stuck in my head. I would literally sing it at Daycare. I was a 4 year old singing Big Balls in Cowtown. I like to say that's when my dorkiness started, but mom says its since birth.

So my question for you is Can You Remember the Song that Made You Love Music?

Comment it down below!!

  1. Hahah. Such a fun story. I don't remember mine specifically, but from what my mom (and I vaguely remember) told me I loved performing to "Pelo Suelto" by Gloria Trevi and one by Selena. I'm pretty sure I disn't understand the meaning of those songs. Lol I do however remember the first album that made me love music, but that's a different story.
