Album Review: Charlie Stout's Dust & Wind

Artist: Charlie Stout
Album: Dust & Wind:Flatland Murder Ballads And High Plains Hymns

In my opinion there is only one way to describe Charlie Stout, he is a story teller. So much more than just a songwriter, he brings a song to live with more than just rhyme. There is substance in his songs. Stout will tell you a story in a song that will shake you to your core. In a small abandoned church in New Mexico, Stout created something that can only be described as magic.

The way that the wind blew in I See Stars was really the best way to start an album. I feel like it leaves the listener hooked. Even in Resurrection Day, the crickets and the cars passing bring an extra element to the song.

I really respect the way Stout tells a story in each song.
