Album: The Nashville Sound
Artist: Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit

Words of truth in the form of poetry are the words I used to describe Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit's album The Nashville Sound. The album starts out the song Last of my kind, the phrasing of his words and the cadence of his guitar playing reminded me a John Prine song. I was thinking maybe while writing this song he was eluding to the fact that he was the last of the southern gentleman. In the same William Clark Green did in his song Old Fashioned.

I really enjoyed the sixth track on the album called Anxiety, the song starts of with powerful guitar riffs. Jason starts to sing and his wife Amanda Shires joins in with harmonies. Which in this song is perfect and incredible. The song Hope you Take the High Road, will leave you with chills. The harmonies of Jason and Amanda will leave you haunted.

Jason creates magic, this is really just the beginning of it and I can't wait to see what he will do next.

5 stars out of 5 stars
