Author: Rob Sheffield
Book: Dreaming The Beatles: The Love Story of One Band and Whole World

The last few months I have had the privilege of reading Rob Sheffield's books. He has books about great power houses of the music world. I was so excited when I heard word that he was in the works of writing a book about The Beatles. The Beatles have always been a band I could listen to no matter what mood I was in.

One of my favorite things about the book is how much Sheffield notes that Buddy Holly was a big influences on there music. As a Lubbock Native, Buddy Holly's hometown I enjoy that his music is enjoyed and continues to go on.

Sheffield notes that growing up he would get into "Beatles arguments," growing up I also did. I would argue that "Hey Jude" was better then "Here Comes the Sun," both great songs. Just personal preference. It was wonderful to know that people have a love of music just like me.

This book was more than just a book this was a telling of phenomenon that The Beatles created. Rob Sheffield brought a new light to the world of Beatles fans.
